Where You Live Should Not Limit What You Learn
We provide rural communities with digital literacy training, technology access, and career development programs that give individuals of all ages the skills to compete, the tools to connect, and the support to succeed.
The ASSIST Project was built on a simple belief: everyone deserves a teammate. We provide rural communities with digital literacy training, technology access, and career development programs that give individuals of all ages the skills to compete, the tools to connect, and the support to succeed.
Founded by a 16-year professional basketball veteran who competed across 7 countries and won a 2015 Euroleague Championship with Real Madrid, The ASSIST Project carries the same discipline and commitment to making others better that defined a professional career.
"We are not just closing a skills gap. We are opening doors that geography and circumstance kept shut."
The ASSIST Project
An immersive curriculum designed to meet participants where they are and move them forward, regardless of age or experience.
Devices, internet navigation, email, and core digital communication tools.
Hands-on training with software used in real workplaces and everyday life.
IT careers, customer service roles, and pathways in the digital economy.
Guest sessions with IT companies and employers. Real conversations about real opportunities.
Program completion, internship matching, and direct connections to employer partners.
Geography should never determine destiny, and age should never be a barrier to opportunity. We serve individuals of all ages in rural Georgia communities who lack access to digital tools, technology training, and career development resources.
The ASSIST Project is a registered nonprofit corporation in the state of Georgia. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are committed to financial transparency and responsible stewardship of every dollar entrusted to our mission.
Our funding comes from USDA grants, FCC digital equity programs, corporate IT partnerships, and tax-deductible community donations.
